NWTTA attends TN Hospitality & Tourism Association’s Day on the Hill

Last week, I attended the annual Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association's Day on the Hill in Nashville. Alongside Caroline Partin, Obion County's new Tourism Director, we were able to visit with Representatives and Senators that serve the NWTN region.

We are extremely fortunate to have leaders at the state level who understand and value the hospitality and tourism industry.

Real Tourism Stats ::

The Hospitality and Tourism industry presented a check of $1.9 BILLION to the State Legislature - WOW! The three categories that make up the Hospitality and Tourism Industry, Lodging/Accommodations, Restaurants, and Attractions/Amusement, contributed $1.9 billion to the state’s general fund through sales tax collections in 2023. In other words, visitors are helping pay for education, public services, etc. than ever before… at a state-wide level, as well as a county and city level.

A huge thanks to our tourism partners across our region and state for all you do to welcome visitors and support our communities!

- Kasey
